ABOUT PROJECT
If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation.
- African_ProverbEducation empowers women to reach their full potential, break the cycle of poverty, and contribute to building stronger, more resilient communities.
- Malala_YousafzaiThe European Union (EU) has long prioritized gender equality, dating back to 1957 with the introduction of equal pay principles. Despite international efforts, UN Women reports that true gender equality remains elusive as of 2022. Various intersecting factors, including race, disability, and nationality, compound discrimination against women. Migrant and refugee women, especially those affected by conflicts like the war in Ukraine, face unique challenges. It's crucial for the education sector to prepare itself with the necessary knowledge and tools to support these women, fostering inclusion and active citizenship within their communities.
